Whole Group: 1. Welcome back to the lab 2. Review Paraphrasing vs Plagiarism. 3. Review safe searching online. 4. Introduce researching facts on an animal of their choice and how to place it in a Popplet Individual: 5. Students will log in to google classroom and begin researching an animal of their choice. Students must use at least five facts from two different resources. 6. Students will also find a picture of the animal on PhotosForClass. 7. After checking to make sure they have paraphrased the five facts, cited the two sources, and included the picture and its source, students will export the organizer as a PDF. 8. Students will upload the PDF to the Google Classroom. 9. After completing the assignment, students need to finish their Applied Digital Skills Presentation. After both assignments are complete, they may work on Digital Passport, NSTeens.org, Interland or building stations at Maker's Space. October 18-24
Whole Group: 1. Welcome back to the lab 2. Review Google's Applied Digital Skills lessons and talk about Paraphrasing vs Plagiarism. 3. Review how to find their Research Guide Document and applications in Google Drive. Individual: 4. Students will log in to google classroom and access their research guide. Using the three facts found, students will create a presentation in Google Drive. 5. After completing the presentation, students may work on Digital Passport, NSTeens.org, Interland or building stations at Maker's Space. October 11-17

Students will log in to google classroom and access their research guide. Using the links provided, students will find at least three facts to support their question and add it to the guide. 5. After completing the search, students may work on Digital Passport, NSTeens.org, Interland or building stations at Maker's Space. October 4 - 10

Students will log in to google classroom and access the instructions for logging in to the lessons. 5. After watching instructional videos, students will pick a research topic and create an exploration question in their exploration guide. When students are done, they will need to create a shareable link to paste in PenPal Schools. 8. Once complete, students may work on Code.org games. February 5-9

Whole Class: 1. Welcome Back! 2. Introduce students to PenPal Schools and explain what will happen the next few weeks. Individual: 3. Students will log in to PenPal Schools and join the class using the class code. Students will write an introduction of themselves and post to the site. January 15-19
Whole Class: 1. Welcome Back! 2. Remind students of online safety rules and general protocols. 3. Remind students how to access Digital Passport and tell if a game has been mastered. Individual: 4. Students will access Digital Passport and ensure that four out of the five games have been mastered. 5. Once students have completed the task, they will work on creating a wanted poster to represent one of the online safety rules. January 8-12
Whole Class: 1. Welcome Back! 2. Review how to access the Universal Screener and expectations for during and after testing. Individual: 3. Students log in to the Universal Screener and complete the test to the best of their ability. 4. When a student has completed the assessment, the student will read quietly and independently. 5. When all students have completed the assessment, the class can play games of their choice on the Condit Lab. December 18-21

Whole Group: Demonstrate how to take a photo of yourself using Photobooth, insert a photo in KidPix, select and copy an area of photo, and how to create a recording. Snowman Holiday Message Instructional Videos Individual: 1. Open Photobooth, take your photo then drag it to the desktop. You will only be using your face in your final product. 2. Insert photo in KidPix, select and copy just your face. 3. Erase everything, illustrate a snowman scene, paste and resize your face. 4. Record, name and save your holiday message recording. 5. Name and save your KidPix file as a movie. 6. Upload your movie to the Google Classroom. December 4-8

Students will log in to Google Classroom to access their graphic organizer and links to research the history of the winter holiday of their choice. 5. Once the organizer is complete and submitted, students will ensure that all of their work is completed and turned in. 6. Then students can play The Meaning of Beep on brainpop or sumdog. November 27-December 1
Students will be taking their Renaissance 360 Assessment in the computer lab this week. November 13-17
Whole Class: 1. Welcome Back 2. Review procedures and expectations 3. Show how to create a word cloud, and how to save it as a pdf. Individual: 4. Students will log in to their google classroom and click the link to create a word cloud. 5. After creating the artwork, students will save the work as a pdf file. 6. Students will upload the file to their google classroom and submit the assignment. 7. When done, students may do one of the "When you are done" activities. November 10-16

Watch directions for how to open google classroom, create a word cloud and upload the word cloud to google classroom. Individual: 4. Students will log in to the computer, open chrome, log in to google drive and access the google classroom. 5. Students will use the link to create a word cloud, save the cloud as a PDF and upload it to the classroom. 6. When students are done, they may work in Sumdog, Interland, FrontRow or Learning.com November 6-9,17

Students will cite the sources of the pictures. 8. Students will format the font and pictures 9. Students will submit the activity through the Google Classroom. October 16-20

Watch Nicole's Story and talk about copyright laws, plagiarism and fair use laws. 4. Remind students how to log in to Digital Passport so that they may complete Mix-and-Match. Individual: 5. Students will login to Digital Passport to complete Mix-and-Match. 6. When students are done, they will research the history of Halloween using Kidrex or Kiddle. They will create a word document and past a picture and words from their research making sure to cite where they found the information. October 9-13

Students will access their Google Classroom and complete a graphic organizer for the pros and cons of Social Media. 5. When students have finished, they may work on any unfinished work in their Google Classroom. If all work is finished, students may work on Interland or Sumdog. October 2-6
